The switch from Typepad to WordPress seems pretty successful so far, thanks to the hard work of the FolioVision folks.
As I wrote on Market My Novel recently, I switched platforms because I’d outgrown Typepad’s features. I also wanted more control over design and better SEO for the site.
So far, things seem to be working out great. I didn’t lose links at other blogs, kept my comments and was able to get started immediately in the reorganized site — within a week of handing it over to Foliovision. I’m still trying to get used to the WYSIWYG navigation provided by Foliovision, as well as the differences in how to upload photos and create links.
If you haven’t already, be sure to drop by Market My Novel and let me know what you think.

I read, and enjoyed, a review you wrote on Pop Syndicate. If you’d like to review our recently published mystery novel, “Adios, Aries,” I’ll send you a copy. It’s the first in a series of “Horoscope Homicides” — cozies with an astrology theme, set in the seaside village of Carlsbad, California. Though the stories have spiritual elements — astrology, energy healing, positive thinking — there’s also a strong dose of humor and light sexual material. (Somewhat akin to Stephanie-Plum-does-New-Age.) Our protagonist, Theodora, is an astrologer who works at a cafe/gallery called Earth and Stars. Though she tries to live life according to “The Secret,” she has trouble coping with an unpredictable teenage son, an eccentric opera-singing aunt, and an almost-ex-husband, Danny, whom she can’t resist. When a Latina actress is brutally murdered after signing her memoirs at the cafe — and Danny, a detective, is put in charge of the case — trouble takes on a whole new dimension. I look forward to hearing from you. Amy Albani (& Leonie Tremaine) Pen name: Leonie Albani-Tremaine
